Best Agentforce Trailhead Modules for AI-201 (and Agentblazer Status)

Hey friends,

The Agentforce Trailhead modules most worth your time in 2026 are Explore the New Agentforce Builder, Agent Script Basics, the Quick Start: Assemble a Service Agent project, and Agentforce Agent Planning, followed by the three Agentblazer Status trails (Champion, Innovator, Legend). Together they cover most of the AI-201 exam's heaviest section, AI Agents, for free.

Trailhead has a lot of Agentforce content, and some of it still shows the legacy builder. I picked modules that match the current product and mapped them to the exam sections so you know what each one is buying you.

Modules mapped to the AI-201 exam

Start at the top: AI Agents is 35% of the exam.

The four modules I'd do first

1. Explore the New Agentforce Builder (about 10 minutes). Where agents live now (Agentforce Studio), the Explorer, Canvas and Script views, Simulate vs Live Test, and the save, commit and activate lifecycle. If you only do one, do this.
2. Agent Script Basics (about 10 minutes). Why Agent Script pairs deterministic logic with LLM reasoning, the top-level blocks, how the reasoning loop builds a prompt, and the kinds of variables.
3. Quick Start: Assemble a Service Agent with Agentforce Builder (about 30 minutes). Hands-on: create a subagent, add flow actions, write reasoning instructions, preview, commit and activate. It needs a special Agentforce Builder Playground that expires, so finish it in one or two sittings.
4. Agentforce Agent Planning (about 10 minutes for the unit). Data strategy, channels, escalation to human reps, security permissions. This is where scenario questions come from.

Then fill the gaps

• Agentforce Deployment: Quick Look: the deployment stage, deployment strategy, and channels and connections for a service agent. Short, and new on the Innovator trail in 2026.
• Agent Analytics and Monitoring: the Sessions & Intents page, processed vs unprocessed sessions, and how to read session details. Good for Governance and Observability.
• Agent API Quick Look: only if you're a developer or going for Legend.

Agentblazer Status: the three trails

Agentblazer Status is Salesforce's free AI learning program on Trailhead. All three trails were refreshed for 2026, so you can earn or renew each level for the year. Earlier statuses stay on your profile, and progress you made is kept, though new content may lower your completion percentage.

Champion first, then Innovator, then Legend.

A few things the page spells out that are useful for planning:

• Champion includes building a basic agent with Quick Start: Build Your First Agent with Agentforce and writing prompts in Prompt Builder. It explicitly doesn't expect you to design complex multi-agent systems.
• Innovator covers planning, testing and troubleshooting, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), deployment, and hands-on builds like Sales Coach and sales development rep (SDR) agents.
• Legend covers customization with prompts, flows and Apex, Data 360 grounding and unstructured data, Testing Center, deploying to Slack, and Agentforce DX, the Agent API and the Models API. Its certification line lists the AI Specialist certification.

What about the Agentforce superbadge?

The Innovator trail says you'll build functional agents through superbadges and guided use cases, and that's the right way to think about superbadges: proof you can build, not exam prep on their own. The exam asks scenario questions about why you'd choose one design over another. A superbadge teaches the how. Do both, but don't substitute one for the other.

A two-week plan using only free content

• Days 1–3: the four core modules above.
• Days 4–7: Agentblazer Champion trail.
• Days 8–11: Innovator trail, including the deployment Quick Look.
• Days 12–14: the Data 360 and RAG modules from Legend, then a timed set of AI-201 practice questions.

If you score well under the 72% passing mark on practice, go back to the section that hurt most, using the map above.
