The best Salesforce certification for a business analyst is the Salesforce Certified Business Analyst. After that, Platform Foundations or Administrator for platform knowledge, then a consultant cert in the cloud your projects use. 1. Business Analyst
It's the only Salesforce cert that tests BA work: Collaboration with Stakeholders (23%), Requirements (18%), User Stories (18%), Customer Discovery (17%), Business Process Mapping (12%), and Development Support and User Acceptance (12%), per the official guide. No prerequisite.

2. Platform Foundations
A short, beginner-friendly exam on the ecosystem, navigation, the data model, and reports and dashboards (exam guide). The audience is up to 6 months of Salesforce user experience, which makes it perfect for an experienced BA moving onto Salesforce.

3. Platform Administrator
Broad and respected. It covers configuration, object manager, sales and service apps, data, automation and Agentforce (exam guide). For a BA, the payoff is knowing which tool fits a requirement, so your recommendations are realistic.
Skip it if: your role is pure business-side analysis and job posts in your market don't ask for it. See do you need Admin first?

5. Platform App Builder

6. Agentforce Specialist
