Hey friends,
Salesforce Service Cloud pricing in 2026 is organized into five editions: Starter Suite and Pro Suite for smaller teams, then Core, Advanced and Max, with each tier adding more service channels, AI and data protection. Prices are per user per month, mostly on annual contracts, and change often, so always check the official Service Cloud pricing page.
I'm not going to quote dollar figures here, since they move. What's more useful, for a buyer or for a consultant studying for the exam, is knowing what each edition is for and where the big features land.
What are the Service Cloud editions?

Core is the first edition built specifically around service. The Suites bundle sales, service and marketing together.
- Starter Suite. Salesforce calls it the smart CRM suite with sales, service, marketing and built-in AI. Think small teams getting off spreadsheets and shared inboxes.
- Pro Suite. Everything in Starter plus enhanced real-time chat, more customization and automation, quoting and forecasting, and access to AgentExchange.
- Core. "The CRM for service," with case management, a self-service help center, and Slack Business+ with Slackbot.
- Advanced. Everything in Core plus Casey, Salesforce's help agent, the Premier Success Plan, a full sandbox, and Backup & Recover and Data Detect. Web chat is included.
- Max. Everything in Advanced plus Agentforce for Service with all service agent templates, digital channels, Partner Contact Center, Workforce and Quality Management, IT Service, Tableau Next and Slack Enterprise+, plus a yearly allowance of Flex Credits.
Why do some pages still say Enterprise and Unlimited?
Salesforce's edition names have been changing, and older names still show up. The FAQ on the same pricing page still lists Starter Suite, Pro Suite, Enterprise, Unlimited and Agentforce 1 Service, and plenty of Help articles say "Available in Enterprise, Unlimited and Developer Editions."
In practice, when a Help article lists Enterprise or Unlimited Edition as a requirement, check which current edition the client actually owns before you promise a feature.
Which features change between editions?
A few lines on the pricing page are spelled out in text rather than checkmarks, and they're the ones I see matter most in projects:
| Feature | How it varies |
|---|---|
| Flow Builder | Limited to 5 flows per org in Pro Suite; unlimited in Core, Advanced and Max |
| Sandboxes | Core, Advanced and Max include 1 partial sandbox per org; Advanced adds a full sandbox |
| Digital channels | Add-on for Core; Advanced includes web chat with more channels as add-ons; included in Max |
| Partner Contact Center (phone) | Add-on for Core and Advanced; included in Max |
| Agentforce for Service | Add-on for Core and Advanced; included in Max |
| Workforce and Quality Management | Add-on for Core and Advanced; included in Max |
Phone setups have their own options and billing models. I covered those in Service Cloud telephony integration.
Here's how I actually got good at this stuff. I used Focus on Force on my way to 17 Salesforce certifications, and for the first few I did it the slow way: read the whole study guide, then test. Things clicked much faster once I flipped it. I took practice tests rapid-fire, and every wrong answer told me exactly what to go read. That's the idea behind Cert Lab: it tests you to success.

Here's the reasoning I'd walk a client through:
| If the team needs... | Start looking at |
|---|---|
| One simple CRM for a handful of people across sales and support | Starter Suite |
| Chat plus more automation, still on a small budget | Pro Suite |
| Real case management, queues, routing and a help center | Core |
| An AI help agent, web chat, a full sandbox and data protection | Advanced |
| AI agents, phone, digital channels and workforce tools in one package | Max |
Worked example: right-sizing for a support team
Say a 40-rep support team runs on email and a phone vendor they like. They want case routing now, chat this year, and AI later.
- Core covers case management, routing and a help center today.
- Chat comes as an add-on on Core, or included as web chat on Advanced. Compare the add-on cost against the jump to Advanced.
- Phone: Partner Contact Center lets them keep their vendor, as an add-on below Max.
- AI: when they're ready, compare adding Agentforce for Service against moving to Max, which bundles it with channels and workforce tools.
That kind of standard-first, phased recommendation is exactly what the Service Consultant exam rewards.
What mistakes should you avoid?
- Quoting old prices from a blog post. Use the official page and a Salesforce rep.
- Assuming a Help article's edition list maps one to one to the current edition names.
- Buying Max for features nobody will use in year one. Phase it.
- Forgetting sandboxes. A full sandbox matters for testing big service changes.
- Ignoring Flow limits on the smaller suites if the team plans heavy automation.
FAQ
How much does Service Cloud cost?
Salesforce lists per-user, per-month prices for each edition on its Service Cloud pricing page, mostly billed annually. Prices change, so check the page or talk to a Salesforce rep.
What is the cheapest Service Cloud edition?
Starter Suite is the entry-level option, bundling sales, service and marketing for small teams.
Which edition includes Agentforce for Service?
Max includes it. On Core and Advanced, the pricing page lists it as available for purchase.
Are edition questions on the Agentforce Service Consultant exam?
The exam focuses on solution design, capabilities and trade-offs rather than prices. Knowing which features need add-ons helps with those scenarios.
