Took a Salesforce exam? Type the section percentages from your results email to see if you passed and which sections cost you the most points.
This is an estimate from your section scores. The pass or fail in your Salesforce email is the official result.
Frequently asked questions
How are Salesforce certification exams scored?
Each exam has a set number of scored questions, 60 for most exams and 40 for the Foundations exams, and a passing score expressed as a percentage. When you finish, you get a pass or fail result plus a percentage for each section of the exam outline. Salesforce doesn't publish a formula for combining those section results, so any overall number, including this one, is an estimate.
Does Salesforce tell you your overall score?
No. You get pass or fail and your section-level percentages. Salesforce encourages you to use that section feedback to see where you're strong and where to study, pass or fail. This calculator turns the same numbers into an estimated overall score.
Why might my estimate differ from my real result?
A few reasons. Sections have whole numbers of questions, so a 27% section on a 60-question exam might really be 16 or 17 questions. Your exam may have been built on an earlier version of the exam guide with different weightings. The percentages in your results email may be rounded. And Salesforce doesn't publish how the sections combine. If your estimate is within a couple of points of the passing score, treat it as too close to call.
Do unscored questions count toward my score?
No. Every Salesforce exam guide says the exam may include up to five unscored questions, mixed in at random, that have no impact on your result. You can't tell which ones they are, so answer every question.
How many questions do I need to get right to pass?
Multiply the passing score by the number of scored questions and round up. On a 60-question exam that's 39 correct at 65%, 41 at 68% (40.8 rounded up), 42 at 70%, and 44 at 72% or 73%. On the 40-question Platform Foundations exam, 62% works out to 25.
Is the Agentforce Specialist passing score 72% or 73%?
72%. Some older articles and practice sites still say 73%, but Salesforce's current Agentforce Specialist exam guide lists 72% with 60 scored questions and 105 minutes.
What if I didn't pass?
It happens to a lot of good people. Use your section results to find the weak sections with the biggest weightings, study those first, and book your retake while the material is fresh. Retakes cost $100 for most $200 exams, $200 for the $400 architect exams, and nothing for the $75 Foundations exams.
