Why I built it this way

I loved Focus on Force. I used it constantly on my way to 17 Salesforce certifications. At first I studied the textbook way: buy the study guide, read it, then take the practice tests.

Then I noticed something. When I took practice tests rapid-fire, over and over, I learned much faster. Every miss showed me exactly what I didn't know yet.

So that's how I built my study guides and Cert Labs: fast testing, with up-to-date links and screenshots for each cert. The Business Analyst Cert Lab works the same way.

I'll be honest about what a cert is. It's about passing the exam. You'll understand more along the way, but nothing replaces years of real-world experience.

Certs still pay off. You learn what matters fast, earn a credential people notice, land interviews, get comfortable with the topics interviewers ask about, get hired, earn raises and step into new areas.

So learn to test well, get the cert, then build experience in the role you want.

To be fair, K2U does some things really well: its two full practice exams are timed and match the real exam's 60 questions, it has screenshots and reference links, and it updates questions shortly after each release. If you already own it and like it, keep using it.

What happened to Focus on Force?

Nothing dramatic. Martin Gessner founded Focus on Force, and it launched in 2014. In September 2022, K2 University announced it had acquired Focus on Force, saying it had served more than 100,000 people by then.

Today focusonforce.com redirects to K2U, which calls itself the new home of Focus on Force and is part of K2 Partnering Solutions. The Business Analyst practice exams are still sold there.
